Hemingway 8K Running of the Bulls

A family-friendly event, the Hemingway 8K Running of the Bulls includes an 8K race and a free kid's run for kids ages 3+.  Race proceeds help support Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry.

Hemingway 8K

This 8K race (4.97 miles) starts and ends adjacent to Scoville Park. The race features performance race shirts, chip timing, pacer bulls, top finisher and age group award medals (as well as spirit awards!). Race starts at 7:45 am.

Kids Running of the Bulls

Children (ages 3+) can decorate a cardboard "bull" to run with on a fun run around Scoville Park, beginning and ending at the war memorial.  Cardboard bull, decorating supplies, and ice water will be provided.  Presented by the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park.
