Beyond Hunger Board of Directors Statement Regarding COVID-19 Travel

Oak Park issued an emergency guidance that directs travelers entering or returning to Oak Park from states with high covid-19 rates to quarantine 14 days since their last contact with specifically identified high-risk states. Oak Park is one of the four communities in suburban Cook County that has its own state-certified public health department. Therefore emergency guidance like the travel ban issued [July 17] by the Cook County Department of Health doesn't automatically apply in Oak Park, but in this case Village officials chose to join the county in issuing the travel guidance.  Beyond Hunger will require its staff and volunteers to abide by these travel restrictions regardless of the level of precautions they took while in the affected state.  Staff will update the list at least weekly based on CCDH/CDH guidelines.  If Oak Park guidelines differ, Beyond Hunger will follow those guidelines.
