First visit to the Food Pantry: 2016
Honestly without the Food Pantry, I would run out of food with 2 weeks of the month left and not have anything to eat.
What I appreciate most with this Food Pantry is the fresh fruits and vegetables. I am a heart transplant patient, and I have spent a lot of time in the hospital in the last year. The food choices I have are very limited due to my health, but with the Food Pantry, I can eat healthy food. I can depend on the food being good and not buying spoiled food so as to sicken me even more.
And I would especially like to say thank you for the flowers I get every now and then. Last summer I got out of the hospital at the end of July and the Saturday I came to distribution I got a bouquet of flowers which I gave to my 4 year old granddaughter. She smiled so brightly and no one knew for the better that grandma had not a penny to her name. it made my heart so happy that with the help of the Food Pantry I was able to give my granddaughter those flowers. They still sit in her room, she had her mother dry them out and she made a picture using them which was later framed.
Thank you for being both a physical and mental companion in my life.
