From the Front Lines: Home delivery has just tripled
The landscape of who needs critical nutrition—and how they get it—has changed rapidly over the past few weeks. And we want to keep you up to date on the impact we are making together in our community.
We have had an influx of calls from our most vulnerable neighbors—seniors who are housebound, residents with very limited mobility—they need groceries more than ever.
To meet that need, we have expanded our services to those who can’t come to the pantry. We partnered with Chicago Police Department’s 15th precinct and Oak Park Township and made quick over-arching changes to our processes to triple home deliveries immediately.
We continue to need your help to serve this growing number of at-risk individuals. As promised, we will remain open. We will be sharing more news, from our front lines, to keep you informed over the coming days.
