Girl Scout Food Drive

Every year they spend several days the week prior to the Food Drive hanging door hangers promoting the Food Drive to local residents in Oak Park, River Forest and Forest Park.

On the day of the Food Drive, they return to pick up the donations and drop them off at the Food Pantry. While they are dropping off donations, another group of scouts are volunteering their time sorting all of the donations.

In 2014, the Girl Scouts collected over 23,000 pounds of food. An amazing, coordinated effort by our local Girl Scouts.

Make sure to leave your non-perishable (non expired!) food items on your front by 10am on Saturday, October 24th. The Girl Scouts will take care of the rest!
