Help Us Provide Free Blood Pressure Screenings

Blood pressure screenings

We are thankful to partner with Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine and RUSH Oak Park to help us provide free blood pressure screenings to our pantry shoppers. While individuals and families wait to shop our shelves, they are offered a blood pressure screening and resources on maintaining and living a healthy and active lifestyle. Food plays an important role in every aspect of our lives, including our physical health and well-being. By offering blood pressure screenings, we live up to our commitment of addressing hunger in its many forms.

In order to continue providing these screenings, we are in need of volunteers who have experience and training to take blood pressure measurements. We are looking for any medical staff (current or retired) who has this training. If you, or someone you know, fits this criteria, please reach out to our registered dietitians Bri (brianne@gobeyondhunger.org) and Maria (maria@gobeyondhunger.org) to learn how you can get involved in making a difference.
