Last Chance to ROCK OUT with Bill at FitzGerald’s Nightclub
Recently, Bill FitzGerald announced his retirement. For nearly 40 years, FitzGerald’s Nightclub has been a legendary music venue right in our own backyard. We know Bill as the gracious host of our Fall benefit concerts. But he’s built a venue that’s known far and wide.
Called “A Musical Gem” by The New York Times, FitzGerald’s has booked outstanding performers like Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Neville Brothers, Steve Earle, Clifton Chenier, and Marcia Ball. Bill FitzGerald’s critically-acclaimed annual four-day American Music Festival has grown to feature more than 50 artists, both national and international acts.
Bill’s contribution to the music scene and his eye for talent are obvious, but what might go unnoticed is the role FitzGerald’s has played in our community—hosting countless community events from fundraisers to weddings to wakes. It’s why FitzGerald’s is beloved, not only by the surrounding suburbs, but across all of Chicagoland. In fact, the site has been dubbed “Chicago Venues That Matter The Most” by the Chicago Tribune. The family has recently offered the club for sale, so now is the time to see the place while it’s rocking.
We've partnered with FitzGerald’s for the past five years, hosting benefit concerts that feed the soul while feeding our hungry neighbors. Luminaries like Los Lobos, Jason Isbell, and John Hiatt have loved performing in this intimate, but powerful setting while lending their talents to the greater good. This year’s talent, St. Paul and The Broken Bones promises to keep the party—and the goodwill—going.
