This is a full meal that is made in one pot. Add the vegetables of your choice to customize this chili.

Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 onion (medium, diced)
1 tsp cumin
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp pepper
3 clv garlic (crushed)
1 carrot (diced)
2 celery stalks (diced)
1 green bell pepper (diced)
1 jalapeno (chopped)
1 C Instant rice
2 C water (or chicken broth)
2 can tomato sauce (14oz cans)
2 can beans (low sodium, drained)
1 can corn (drained)
Instructions
1. In a pot large enough to hold the chili, brown the ground meat. If using ground turkey from the OP Food Pantry, no additional oil or fat is needed. Break into small crumbles while browning.
2. Add onions, spices, salt and pepper. Cook until the onions have softened.
3. Add garlic and the other vegetables. Mix and saute until vegetables soften.
4. Add rice and water. Bring to a boil, simmer for 5 mins.
5. Add beans, corn and tomato sauce. Bring back to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasonings if needed.
